No it’s not stupid. Just because it’s winter that doesn’t mean the sun is gone or that it can’t damage your eyes. Wear your sunglasses whenever you need them. Who cares what season it is. Just don’t wear them when you’re inside or when it’s dark, because then you just like you’re trying to be/look cool…and failing at it.

Heather:
The sun shines regardless of the season. Wearing sunglasses has nothing to do with the temperature outside, but rather the amount of UVA and UVB rays that shine during the day, which mind you can also penetrate on cloudy days. Wearing sunglasses is smart during all seasons, as it protects your eyes from cataracts, and the skin around your eye from sun damage. Sunglasses aren’t only a fashion accessory.

No way.
I live in San Diego and we get sun almost 365 days a year.
Even if you live where it snows, sometimes light can be blinding when reflecting off of white snow.
